Patch barracks craft hobby shop

No one knows this better than Kelly Sarles, the U. The award is presented to an employee across the Family and MWR Command who best exemplifies superior achievement as an Army community recreation professional. Sarles and her staff are constantly conducting online research, listening to their customers and searching for instructors. A good example of this is the Rainbow Loom, a plastic loom used to weave rubber bands into bracelets.

Canvas and Corkscrews is another. The wine and paint party, based on a similar program in the States, took a couple of years to come to fruition while the arts and crafts staff searched for an instructor. Last year, Marta Niemann approached Sarles about teaching painting. The program started off small in the craft store. In class you will learn how to choose molding and mat colors, how to measure, how to cut and build your frame, how to cut glass, and how to fit all the pieces together.

The Panzer center offers wall climbing upon completion of a certification course. The Stuttgart Golf Course in Kornwesthiem, about 10 miles north of the city, offers 18 holes of championship quality play and is one of the best military courses in Europe. Individual clinics are held throughout the year, and group and private lessons are available by appointment. The pro shop carries equipment and clothing, and the club also serves lunch and dinner.

The Galaxy Bowling Center at Panzer Kaserne boasts 24 lanes, a snack bar, playroom for children, birthday room, video game room, bar and slot machines. Kelley Barracks has woodworking and crafts workshops, and the Gussy Goose Craft Shop at Patch Barracks has many craft, quilting, and scrapbooking supplies and also offers sewing, quilting and scrapbooking classes. Quality family care is provided at Patch Barracks, and more specialized care is provided at German hospitals and military hospitals. Health benefits advisors assist with military health problems and are liaisons for patients using host nation health care facilities.

The dental clinic provides general dentistry and specialty treatment to authorized individuals. Veterinary Services at Panzer Kaserne include animal disease prevention and control, issuance of health certificates and vaccinations.

The Army Community Service ACS center offers various programs and services for soldiers, civilians and family members; parent education classes, financial maintenance classes, relocation information and support, mobilization and deployment support, employment services, Army Emergency Relief AER and volunteer programs.
